Today was a good day. We were working on uke training once again and as I started to work on the drill, we were given different bodies. When I received my new body I was given a different hold. Normally when things don’t go my way, or I feel as though they should be attacking or doing something different I tend to shut off in frustration. While I take it as a big step, I felt the frustration starting to creep in. When I started to feel the thoughts I gave it a smile and said good bye to it. While letting go of these thoughts I was able to analyze my self. What was I doing wrong? The answer was that I started doing and not allowing the person tell me where to go. With that I was able to change my focus on something productive. It started to work against a different body and low and behold it was me causing my own problems. It gave a me a huge smile, because I felt as I started to let go of something that normally blinds me from training. After that, I was able to work on some really cool stuff. So thank you to my ukes for pointing out what I was doing wrong!
